We are very pleased to announce that we have a new instructor,
Emilie Douglas, for our childrens' camps. She is a graduate of TCU with
a Fine Arts degree in sculpture. Your child will have the finest instruction
available in North Texas to introduce them to the exciting world of clay.

 


2010

For children ages 7­14, we meet during the day from 10:00am-12:30pm. Each day will features projects
that emphasizes the basic techniques of clay forming. Fee includes firing and glazing of projects. All courses
are taught in our studio by a master potter. Pre-registration is required to ensure we have materials available
for all campers. Refreshments will include sugar-free drinks and regular cookies. Please let us know if you
would prefer your child to have something different.

The following classes are offered during our 2010 Summer Camp:

Ages 7-9

Session 1: June 14-18 • $125 / Session 2: August 9-13 • $125
Handbuilding with clay. Children will construct clay projects while learning the three major handbuilding techniques of pinching, coilding and slab rolling. Projects include pinch pot animals, picture frames, wind chimes and more.

Ages 10-14

Session 3: June 21-25 • $125 / Session 4: August 2-6 • $125
From Mud to Music. Cultures around the world have formed musical instruments out of clay for centuries. We'll explore those musical styles in this session of hand forming instruments made of clay. Examples include whistles, ocarinas and drums.

 

Wheel Throwing for Teenagers
Ages 13-17. One week sessions meet daily 10:00am-12:30pm.

Session 5: June 14-18 / 10:00am-12:30pm / $150

Session 6: August 9-13 / 10:00am-12:30pm / $150

 

Pre-registration is required. You can register 1) with a credit card by calling us at 817-731-9249, 2) come by
the studio to pay by check or credit card, or 3) print out the registration form and mail it in with a check.
